Pressbox (Press Release) - American Cotswolds Artist Showcases English Landscape in Milan

California Artist, Roxy Rich, Features Cotswold Painting in Milan Exhibit

Murrieta— April 20, 2022 — Roxy Rich, a Murrieta-based Fine Artist announced that her Oil Landscape painting, Sunny Day, a Gloucestershire Landscape was curated for the “Yellow” exhibit in Milano, Italy, and Fuerteventura, Spain at M.A.D.S Gallery along with two other landscapes from Temecula Wine Country. Opening April 28th and running through May 4th, the International Mixed Reality Exhibit hosts a Brick-and-Mortar event using cutting-edge technology wherein collectors can zoom in and view every brushstroke. Online, the exhibit exists in the Metaverse at MADSVERSE Augmented Reality Gallery Space.

Roxy’s Plein Air paintings have previously received mention in Inland Empire Magazine and 300Magazine Online for her unique, lively style of Contemporary Impressionism. “In the tradition of vivid Impressionist art, Roxy Rich flouts the rules and gives birth to her own understanding of space, color, and dynamics. That is why her landscapes appear to be so idiosyncratic as if you feel the painter’s personality integrated into the art.” August 20, 2021.

Positive Impact on Cotswolds Travel
The Southern California Artist became enamored with the Cotswolds after reading the Agatha Raisin series by the late English Author, M.C. Beaton, whose books are now a hit TV show. She visited the Cotswolds on several occasions taking hundreds of photos she would later create into a 24-piece collection of Cotswold Landscapes. The series was featured at The Porto Vista Hotel in San Diego’s Little Italy, The Dresden Room (Swingers Film) in Los Angeles, and at Gershon Bachus Vintners, a prestigious boutique winery in Temecula. Roxy’s painting, “Castle Combe” is one of her bestselling prints. Sunny Day, inspired by Clarkson’s Farm, (Jeremy Clarkson’s hit Documentary) features a bright, cheerful English Wheatfield. By including this painting in the exhibit, Roxy hopes to help increase positive awareness of the Cotswolds to Europe and encourage more tourism to the community that she has become so fond of and where she hopes to someday retire. She plans to visit again in December.

Sunny Day will soon after Milan be available for local viewing at her upcoming Solo exhibit in Old Town, Temecula at the Temecula Civic Center Gallery opening May 16th-July 8th.
“Living Landscapes: Cosmopolitan Perspectives Garnered by a Provincial Mind” is a series of original oil landscape paintings inspired by thoughtful reflection on the artist's experiences at home and abroad coupled with optimistic ideas for the future.
