Lord Narasimha is the embodiment of adharma-consuming aggression. He is rajasic and restless, unforgiving and all-vanquishing. In this Narasimha murti, Lakshmi is sitting on her husband’s lap. He is in lalitasana on a traditional, multi-tiered throne. He is possessed of four arms - the chaturbhujadhari - and a six-hooded snake bares its multitudinous fangs above His tall, tapering crown. Despite the countenance of a Simha (lion), the composure is one of calm and equanimity.
