Facilities for everyone at Dhigali

Added: (Thu Jul 27 2023)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Dhigali’s facilities are varied and plentiful, especially for those who love the water, with three beachfront infinity pools, an array of watersports and a dive centre where guests can complete their PADI courses. There is also a fitness centre and a running track.

Children will feel right at home at Dhigali, with an extensive kids’ club, children’s menus in all the restaurants and plenty of family-focused activities including complimentary Glass Bottom Boat and dolphin cruise excursions.

The Dhigali Spa is a green retreat in the middle of the island, featuring daybeds, an outdoor pool and 12 modern, minimalist treatment rooms that cocoon guests in absolute stillness. Therapies offered by the spa draw on indigenous traditions to heal and re-energise the body and mind, whilst guests have the opportunity to prolong their visit in the steam room and relaxation lounge, or pamper with a pedicure and a manicure.

Dining at Dhigali:

There are four restaurants and two bars at Dhigali, Pizzeria and a Café’. Relaxed, buffet-style Capers, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, to the romantic Asian offering at Battuta. You will love the leisurely all-day restaurant Jade, whilst seafood enthusiasts and carnivores should head for Faru, where you can combine the fish or meat of your choice with a range of sauces and spices to suit your tastes.

Dhigali’s signature restaurant, Battuta, is particularly special. The restaurant takes its name from Ibn Battuta, one of history's greatest explorers.

In 1325, when he was just 21, Ibn Battuta set out from his native Tangier (modern day Morocco). By the time he returned home for good, almost 30 years later, he had covered some 120,000km and nearly every part of the Islamic world. Visiting the equivalent of 44 modern countries, which were then mostly under the governments of Muslim leaders of the World of Islam, or “Dar al-Islam”.

Over the course of his travels Battuta spent a great deal of time in the Maldives, particularly Raa atoll, so there is no better ambassador to highlight the cuisine of the Maldives. Battuta restaurant’s menu takes not only from the local specialties but also chronicles this great man’s journey through the showcasing of cuisines from his many travels. To enrich the offerings, a Chinese Menu, with the special touch of Chinese flavours, has been introduced.

However, the most special spot in the resort is perhaps the thatched, bird’s nest-like bar Haali, where guests can perch on a swing or flop onto a beanbag, enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun come down over the sandbank.
