FOR JOURNALISTS
Your preferences matter.
Control how your professional profile is used and the pitches you receive.
Why your information may appear
A communications team may add professional contact details from a legitimate source or licensed media-data provider. Pressbox records source/provenance and requires a subscriber classification and lawful-basis assertion before outreach.
How AI is used
AI can rank relevance using role, beat, outlet and permitted evidence such as recent article metadata. Pressbox does not send journalist email addresses to the AI targeting model and does not let AI bypass suppression controls.
Verified journalist profiles
Journalists can create or update an email-verified first-party profile with professional role, outlet, beats and pitch preferences. These verified preferences override less specific third-party source permissions for Pressbox targeting. You can disable AI matching or decline Pressbox pitches while retaining a professional profile.
Opt out
Every Pressbox-distributed campaign supports suppression. An unsubscribe applies before subsequent delivery claims, including campaigns already queued. You can also place this email address on Pressbox’s global journalist suppression list, which applies across all Pressbox customer workspaces.
Corrections and removal
The same verified preference workflow lets you ask Pressbox to review inaccurate information or a removal request. We verify control of the email address before acting on the request.
